Philosophy
Emcure believes that an organization can only succeed by being socially conscious and participative towards the holistic community and societal development as we coexist and collaborate to grow together. Hence, we ensure our active and evolved participation towards Corporate Social Responsibility.
Programs & initiatives
Education
We are partnering with ?Teach for India? initiative through sponsorships and volunteering activities such as conduct of academic sessions, provision of soft skill training and provision of technical & vocational trainings at schools.
Emcure works closely with various NGOs such as Navkshitij and Gurukul Orphanage among others to promote and support talent development in underprivileged children.
Diabetes Initiatives
Diabetes Detection Initiative
Emcure has also undertaken country-wide diabetes detection initiatives in collaboration with National Diabetes, Obesity and Cholesterol Disease Foundation, India (N-DOC) with the aim to create awareness around diabetes and obesity among school children, their parents, teachers and general public
Environment
We support various environmental initiatives led by eCoexist and Swach, two of the prominent non-profit organizations operating in this space in Pune
We have organized clean-up drives where volunteers have assisted in collection of waste from Pimpri, Sanghvi and Aundh Ghats after the Ganeshostsav
Health
12 * 12 Initiative
Our goal with the 12 X 12 initiative is to ensure that every girl of age 12 years has a hemoglobin level of 12 grams, which is considered to be the optimum level for females in that age group. Since the inception of this initiative in 2007, we have been able to aide over 70,000 females across India
Anemia detection camps are organized every year to reach out and create awareness among as many people as possible. Just in the last one year, we were able to set-up around 5000 camps across the country which screened close to 60,000 patients for Anaemia
Village Adoption Program
Village adoption program is another unique initiative of ours, under which a village is adopted by Emcure Pharmaceuticals to conduct free hemoglobin tests and health check-ups, and also provide free samples of medication to Anaemic patients
HIV Initiatives
Taal Initiative
We have set-up the Treatment Adherence Advocacy and Literacy program in association with ?the positive network? in Maharashtra to provide care and support to PLHIVs
Joy of Giving
We celebrated the ?Joy of Giving? week that received great response from the employees. As part of this initiative, Emcure organizes blood donation camps which have received a great response from Employees
Emcure also organized cloth collection drive, the proceeds of which were donated to the non- profit organization, Jagruti Seva Sansthan
